Meet the Team

A couple of Medford kids who’ve returned from the wild with a list of ideas and a passion for brewing beer.

  • Luke Gasek is the owner and developer for Lake 11 Brewing. He grew up in Medford and moved to Alaska after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Luke traveled all over the state conducting wetland delineations and hiking over hundreds of miles of wilderness. After twelve years in Alaska, he moved back in May 2020 and started brewing and preparing recipes with Adam. Luke completed a brewing certificate program from the University of South Florida Brewing Arts Program which is recognized by the Master Brewers Association of the Americas. He completed this certificate program in December 2021. Luke is an active outdoorsman that will be fishing, hiking, skiing and cycling year round.

  • Adam Pfefferle is one of Lake 11’s lead brewers and it’s an understatement to say he loves beer. He was born in Medford, though he moved away as a child. Now he's back…well, he drives here from Appleton to brew you beer! He's been a home brewer since 2006 and has participated in various brewing classes both online and in person in Milwaukee. Interests include family road trips, maps, beer (duh), tacos, and cheering on our state sports teams. If he had to pick a favorite beer style, it would most often be Pale Ale.
